All About Cherry

Magdalene Cherry is an actress, writer, and multidisciplinary artist from Dallas, Texas, now based in Los Angeles.

She earned her BFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts, where she built a dynamic range across classical and contemporary work. Her CalArts credits include The Death of Walt Disney (Walt Disney), Men on Boats (Dunn), Roberto Zucco (The Sister), Acts of Afra (Diocletian), and The Great Gatsby (Myrtle Wilson).

This past year, Magdalene was nominated for Best Actor in a Play (Los Angeles) by Broadway World for her performance as Jack Skelley in Fear of Kathy Acker. On screen, she has starred in episodic film series with ReelShort and GoodShorts, appeared in national commercials for Rise of Kingdoms, and leads several independent feature films set for release this year.

Beyond the stage and screen, Magdalene is a passionate collaborator and storyteller—teaching young actors, developing new writing, and creating work across mediums. When she’s not on set or in rehearsal, she can often be found at the beach, on her skateboard, or writing poetry mountainside.
